Old Square. There are many birds. Mainly Great Tits, Blackbirds and House Sparrows. They are also main singers. Blackbirds are most loud of all. Flying Greenfinches are noticeable. Once Cetti's Warbler glimpsed. Birds singing is all around. Found some birds by the singing. Little, inconspicuous Warblers sing in the thick foliage. Singing of Warblers is loud and audibly far, but it's very difficult to find its. Lesser Whitethroat sang in the thick branches of fir tree, but Booted and Barred Warblers in the branches of elms. Saw these birds and even it photographed some of them. But heard Nightingale and didn't find it. Still it saw the lonely female of Common Rosefinch. Something like this season Nightjars migrate, but today I did not see them.Old Square. After dinner time the weather even more cooled. On the Old Square always there are many Blackbirds (actually very much). Twice heard Nightingales and saw one Long-tailed Shrike and one Cetti's Warbler. Mynahs, Pigeons, House Sparrows, Greenfinches. The pair of Kestrels turns above the highest building. On early morning Red-rumped Swallows flew all around. About 9 am Swallow began to sat down to the wires, and some of them to the ground. Today I specially went to photograph Swallows, because there was a night rain and the puddles on asphalt was present. Swallows pick up mud from the puddles to nests buildings. But today I had so little time and didn't photograph Swallows on the ground. But I saw how Swallows picked up fuzz to the nests building. Among the swallows sitting on the wires there were not only Red-rumped but Barn Swallows too. [...... read more ]
