In the thickets of Little Almaty river over the dam I observed a lot of Leaf Warblers, mostly Greenish Warblers, but I also noticed Sulphur-bellied Warblers and probably Chiffchaffs. The Grey Wagtails were very actively too. In addition to Warblers and Wagtails I watched one Brown Dipper, one Azure Tit, one Blue Whistling Thrush, Magpies, Mynahs. [...... read more ]

I saw A lot of Common Whitethroats and some Barred Warblers, and also one Sparrowhawk, Stonechats (females only), one Spotted Flycatcher and Lesser Whitethroats which became quite more. [...... read more ]

Near our summer house I saw one Spotted Flycatcher and the flock of soaring Bee-eaters which also were perching on wires. [...... read more ]

The Turkestan Shrike's migration became active, today I saw about 6-7 Shrikes both adults and juveniles. Also I watched Common Whitethroats, Stonechats (about ten birds, all females), Lesser Whitethroats, one Hoopoe, Bluethroat, Barred Warbler, Sparrowhawk, Mynahs, Magpies. In the crown of high birch-trees I notices many little birds, but couldn't shoot of even observe them. I guess that they were Leaf Warblers and also Stonechats and Lesser Whitethroats. Today most of all I watched the Common Whitethroats. Aslo I saw several female Stonechats, three Lesser Whitethroats, two Barred Warblers, one Hume's Warbler, Sparrowhawk, two Wood Pigeons, Mynahs, Magpies and probably Booted Warbler. [...... read more ]

Morning. I saw not less than three tens Common Whitethroats, it was surprising to me that Whitethroats were feeding on the ground, searching the food among the roses. Two Barred Warblers were as usually shyer than Whitethroats, the Common Nightingales were hiding in bushes. I ran into also other little birds, but I had not time to make out them. Again I saw yesterday's Stomechats and Turkestan Shrike.In the square at Republic Museum I heard Warblers, and in Samal saw one Wood Pigeon and two Laughing Doves. [...... read more ]

At the evening, almost at sunset time, I walked on the square near the city's akimat. I saw two Turkestan Shrikes, several Common Whitethroats and three females of Stonechat. Once the Hobby flew by. Probably I ran into the Barred Warblers and one Bluethroat but I am not sure. [...... read more ]
